Richmond Police have arrested a Flint Road couple for forgery. Police say 38-year-old Robert Combs and 29-year-old Erica Combs cashed a check to receive insurance proceeds without the mortgage company’s signature. Police say in May the couple received over $3,000 to cover water damage repairs to their home. They were supposed to deposit it in an escrow account and after the repairs were made, the insurance company would pay the vendor. Instead, police say they cashed it at a local check cashing business with a forged letter from the mortgage holder.
