Robberies & Reward Offer:  On 12/06/2013, at approximately 9:54 P.M., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the D & G Food Mart, 1699 E. Main Street.  Upon arrival, officers learned that the store had been robbed at gun point.  Employees reported that a white male entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.  When the clerk opened the register, the suspect removed the cash drawer and fled on foot.   A search of the area failed to produce the suspect.

The suspect was further described as a white male, mid-20’s, approximately 130 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, a gray toboggan, blue jeans, black gloves, and a brown bandana around his face.

On 12/08/2013, at approximately 10:19 P.M., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Redi Mart, 920 Red House Road.  Upon arrival, officers learned that a white male entered the store with a handgun and demanded that employees open the cash register.  The robber then removed the cash tray from the register and fled on foot.  A search of the area failed to produce the suspect.

The suspect was further described as a white male, 5’11” to 6’0”, wearing a dark gray and light blue hood, a black jacket, khaki pants, black shoes, black gloves, and a navy blue bandana over his face.

An amount of cash (will remain undisclosed) was stolen in each robbery and no one was injured.

Police suspect that the robberies were committed by the same person and suspect that he may also be responsible for robberies committed at Bybee Grocery and Kingston Shell, both of which are being investigated by KSP.

The Richmond Police Departments is offering a $1000.00 reward to anyone who can provide information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.  Anyone with information should contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 859-623-1162.
