Robbery Charge: On 03/15/2014, police charged Kevin J. Coldiron, age 39, Tyner, KY, for several offenses following a shoplifting incident at Meijer.

At approximately 4:28 P.M., officers were dispatched to Meijer in response to a report that a shoplifting suspect had fled from the store. Upon arrival, officers learned that an employee observed a male, later identified as Coldiron, in the shoe department of the store wearing no shoes. Coldiron was observed removing a pair of boots from a box and putting them on, after which he hid the shoe box. He then went to the clothing section and donned a black hoodie after removing the price tag. Coldiron then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Coldiron was confronted by employees near the exit doors and he removed the aforementioned hoodie and boots along with blue jeans, socks, and a hat that he had also stolen (total value: $173.99).

After discarding the clothing, Coldiron charged at one of the employees, grabbed him by the shirt, and pushed him into the entrance door until the door popped open. Coldiron then fled on foot wearing only boxer shorts on his lower half.

A short time later, officers were advised that Coldiron was at a residence in the 1100 block of Goggins Lane. Upon arrival, officers found Coldiron in the front yard of the residence. His boxer shorts were ripped and his genitals exposed. He was also under the influence of an intoxicant. It would later be learned that Coldiron had unlawfully entered the residence where he was found and was confronted in the kitchen by the residents, who promptly escorted him and his exposed genitals from their residence.

Officers took Coldiron into custody and placed him inside a police cruiser. Coldiron began banging his head against the protective screen inside the vehicle and as officers attempted to intervene, Coldiron kicked one of the officers in the chest twice. Officers were finally able to restrain and calm Coldiron before transporting him to the MCDC.

Coldiron was charged for the following offenses:
