Richmond Police Crime Beat 07/21/14

 

RSP/Felon in Possession Charge:   On 07/16/2014, William D. Fultz, age 25, Oakley Wells Road, arrested in possession of stolen Glock handgun at Red Roof Inn.

 

At approximately 11:28 A.M., officers were dispatched to Red Roof Inn to assist the management as they evicted Fultz and a female from a room they were occupying at the hotel.  After the two had collected their belongings and left the room, officers found a Glock .45 caliber pistol in a microwave oven in the room.  It was determined that a resident of Silver Charm Court had reported that the firearm was stolen from his parked vehicle during the overnight hours of 07/14/2014.

 

It was further learned that Fultz had previously been convicted of a felony offense.  In 2010, he was convicted in the Madison Circuit Court for Assault 2nd Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree.

 

Fultz was charged for Receiving Stolen Property-Firearm and Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon.  He was lodged in the MCDC.                                                                                                                  (1698/406)

 

Auto Theft Arrest:   On 07/18/2014, police charged Jeffrey Lynn Bond, age 31, Baumstark Road, Waco, in connection with the theft of three vehicles.

 

On 07/15/2014, a complainant reported that three vehicles of her vehicles had been stolen from Danielle Court on 07/09/2014.  The victim described the vehicles as a 2000 Ford Taurus, a 2001 Honda Civic, and a 2003 Honda Accord with a total value of $8500.00.   When the victim discovered that the vehicles were missing, she began searching for them and learned that Bond had sold all three of the vehicles to Webb’s Recycling as junk vehicles.

 

The investigating officer confirmed that all three vehicles had been sold to Webb’s Recycling by Bond and found that all three vehicles had been damaged in preparation for disposal.  The stolen vehicles were recovered and returned to the victim.

 

On 07/18/2014, Bond was arrested and charged for Theft by Unlawful Taking-Auto $500 to $10,000 (3 counts) and Theft by Deception Under $500.   He was lodged in the MCDC.                                        (1690/423)

 

Drug Arrest:   On 07/18/2014, police charged Sylvia P. Hellard, age 59, Powderhorn Drive, for several drug offenses following the execution of a search warrant.

 

At approximately 9:00 A.M., officers executed a search warrant at Hellard’s residence in furtherance of an ongoing drug investigation.  During the search of the residence, officers recovered 11 hydrocodone pills, 11 Xanax pills, 161 gabapentin pills, 8 packs of Suboxone strips, a small amount of marijuana, a scale, and other items of drug paraphernalia.

 

Hellard was charged for the following offenses and lodged in the MCDC:

 

-          Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree

-          Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 2 counts

-          Trafficking in a Legend Drug

-          Trafficking in Marijuana

-          Possession of Drug Paraphernalia                                                                                           (1718/419)

 

Drug Arrests:   On 07/19/2014, police charged Anthony Greathouse, Jr., age 28, Nicholasville, KY, and Leslie L. Luther, age 49, E. Main Street, for drug trafficking offenses stemming from separate investigations.

 

In November and December 2013, the RPD Narcotics Unit purchased a quantity of heroin from Greathouse on three separate occasions during a covert investigation.

 

On 07/19/2014, at approximately 11:02 P.M., Greathouse was located on Race Street and taken into custody.  He was charged for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 3 counts, and lodged in the MCDC.

 

In May 2014, the RPD Narcotics Unit purchased a total of 15 oxycodone pills from Luther on two separate occasions during a covert investigation.

 

On 07/19/2014, Luther was arrested at his residence.  Five oxycodone pills were recovered in the living room of the residence while six alprazolam pills and two Lyrica pills were found on Luther’s person.  He was lodged in the MCDC, charged for the following offenses:

 

-          Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2 counts)

-          Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree

-          Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (2 counts).                                                             (447)
