Police in Richmond say an Irvine man has been charged with fraud after an arrest warrant was served on him when he went to the police station to get a vehicle out of impound. 32-year-old Dennis Wright was charged with theft by deception on Thursday. Police say in November, he gave Autoland on East Main Street a check a little of 2 thousand to cash and take his $400 car payment out of. The check was made out to Wright from Oregon and he said it was a payroll check. The owner cashed the check, took out the car payment then gave Wright the rest. But the check was returned to Autoland as a fake.
