Burglary:   On 04/01/2014, an employee of Riddell Construction reported that an enclosed box trailer belonging to the company had been broken into during the overnight hours at a Tipton Court residential construction project and numerous tools were stolen.  Entry was gained by prying the hasp from the trailer.  The following items were reported missing:  three Hitachi framing nailers; two Skil circular saws; a Dewalt hammer drill; a Dewalt reciprocating saw; a Bostitch three gallon air compressor; four Dewalt electric screw guns; five 100-foot extension cords; two 50-foot air hoses; a 12-volt battery; a Porter Cable generator; and two 50-foot rolls of insulated copper tubing.  Estimated loss:  $2770.00                                                                  (0745/425)

 

Burglary of Business:  On 04/03/2014, at approximately 9:57 A.M., employees of Babcon Electric, S. Estill Avenue, reported that a male suspect had entered the building through an open bay door and stolen two Dewalt tool kits.  Each kit contained a cordless drill, a flashlight, a reciprocating saw, and rechargeable batteries.  The suspect was described as a young white male, thin build, approximately 6’0”, wearing jeans and a light colored shirt.  He fled the scene in a small, dark blue passenger car with dark tinted windows.  Estimated loss:  $700.00

Parole Violation Arrest:  On 04/04/2014, police arrested Christina R. Lowery, age 24, McKee, KY, on the strength of a parole violation warrant.

 

On or about 09/23/2013, Lowery was convicted in the Madison Circuit Court for Criminal Facilitation of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Controlled Substance Endangerment of a Child 4th Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (methamphetamine).  She was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment on each count with the sentences to run concurrently.

 

On 11/21/2013, Lowery was paroled.

 

On 02/26/2014, a Parole Violation Warrant was issued for Lowery’s arrest after she violated the conditions of her parole, including absconding parole supervision and failure to complete treatment for substance abuse.

 

On 04/04/2014, officers encountered Lowery at the intersection of North Street and Norwood Drive and took him into custody without incident.  He was lodged in the MCDC.

 

Assault Arrest:   On 04/05/2014, police charged Hank W. Spicer, age 33, Irvine, KY, in connection with an assault that occurred the previous day.

 

On 04/04/2014, at approximately 10:45 P.M., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Holly Street to investigate a reported assault.  Upon arrival, officers learned that Spicer arrived at the home and got into an argument with the female resident.  The female resident ordered Spicer from the home and as he was leaving he struck a female guest at the home in the head with an aluminum beer bottle.  Officers observed a knot on the head of the victim but she was not seriously injured.  Spicer fled from the area.

 

On 04/05/2014, officers located Spicer and, after an interview, charged him for Assault 2nd Degree and lodged him in the MCDC.                                                                                                                        (0775/419)

 

Theft from Residence:   On 04/05/2014, a resident of Ridgeway Drive reported that a Springfield Armory 9mm pistol, model XD(M), black in color, had been stolen from his residence sometime during the past week.  Estimated loss:  $600.00                                                                                                              (0777/418)

 

Theft from Residence:   On 04/05/2014, two visitors to a residence in the 600 block of Hampton Way reported that their cell phones had been stolen from the apartment during the overnight hours.  The following items were reported missing:  a silver and white iPhone 5S in a blue/turquoise LifeProof case and a gold and white iPhone 5S in a pink LifeProof case.  Estimated loss:  $1200.00                                                                (0779/456)
